I am an oxymoron.

It all began over 50 years ago, when I was born a Gemini–The Twins.  My mother found significance in that fact and the fact that as a child, I had so much dark hair on my back it prompted her to ask my pediatrician why.  Being too young to remember what the doctor actually said, I can only quote my mother, “She is schizophrenic–she has a split personality.”  I proudly told all my friends and their parents.  I was always quick to add, “If I had one more hair, I’d be hanging in the trees with the monkeys.”  While I have never been clinically diagnosed with schizophrenia, my husband and children would say there is probably some truth in it.
Perhaps more significantly, I am in love with an oxyMORON.  I teach oxymorons (the figurative language, not my students) in English I and II at my local high school, but I do not purposely write them in this blog. The “split personality” surfaces each week as I interchangably write humorous/serious stories from my life.
To answer that burning question–Am I still hairy?  No, I moulted my pelage somewhere before or during puberty!

This is hilarious! While I never had hair on my back, I had a head shaped like a football.

Oh my. I just read your blog. Let me tell you, there are a few things that I could add to the “about me” section that might make you block this writer. LOL. I love reading your passion and plan to make more of a concerted effort to stay in touch over the next fifty years. Love forever. Jac

Yes, if there is anyone that could dish more dirt in the “about me” section, it would be you! Be careful and hold your tongue–that is a threat! LOL. Thank you for your comments. You don’t know what that means to me. I loved getting together, and yes, we HAVE to do more of it. There is only one other person who accuses me of writing with passion, so thanks for that. I love you, too. I has been way too long.
